Get Your Twitter Account Spinning Today







1 Check notifications: 

This is where I start my account daily. I always show appreciation to the followers who retweeted, replied and just followed me. When one of my followers retweets one of my posts, I return the favor. I take the time to look over their account and retweet one of their posts. All my followers are special and I learn so much from their posts. This is where your account will keep current and moving forward.

2 New followers: 

Not all new followers fit into your real estate mode. Learn to monitor your account. You don't have to follow everyone and you can certainly block unfavorable accounts. Buying followers isn't a good idea. I can tell by looking at an account that bought followers. When I check their followers there isn't any quality accounts. Sure the numbers look good but it is like cotton candy. It is there but it isn't.

3. Engage with old & new followers:

Retweets, hashtags, shout-outs, replies & quotes. This is what creates your account to start buzzing. Each time one of your followers retweets your post-it goes to all of their followers.

I feel the cherry on the sundae is a retweet with a comment. It is great that you retweeted but that extra effort of a comment pays off. I rarely just "like" a post. I guess it is a flash back to when I played softball. I went up to the plate to hit a home run not a single.





4. Follow new real estate minded accounts everyday: 
I average between 20 to 30 new followers a day. Constantly scoping out all the real estate accounts for retweets and new followers. Your account should be moving like Warren Buffet’s net worth.

5. Send out about your listings but you will need more to engage: 
“I would love to show you my listing” goes nowhere. They will see your listings but tucked in with real estate education posts. You have got to engage your followers or I call it tweeting alone. Is anyone out there?


6. Search for your area followers: 

Very important to connect with twitter users in your area to sell homes. This is why you are really on twitter. I cover this in Video 4 about building your lists. This is the strongest asset for the realtor!

 7. Clean up your account:  

My system will keep your account moving forward. Prevents your account from going stagnant. This keeps your account spinning and fresh. This is an example of an account that desperately needs cleaning up. You should be following about 300 ahead of your followers not 3,000. This account isn't going to move forward. I usually clean up my account on Saturday or Sunday for next week.

NATIONAL

If you are selling nationwide and want a list this is great. This is the way to keep your followers in the loop.

LOCAL

This is really important when you are selling locally. We will do an advanced search of the people in your area and start following the qualified. 

Make a specific list for your local followers with a title, picture and description that explains list. Go to the list every day and engage.
